Dr. Yervant Zorian is President of Synopsys Armenia and CTO & Fellow at Synopsys. A globally recognized leader in semiconductor technology and test innovation, he has held senior roles at Virage Logic, LogicVision, and AT&T Bell Laboratories. An IEEE Fellow since 1999, Dr. Zorian holds more than 45 U.S. patents and has authored over 400 publications and four books. He has played a significant leadership role within IEEE, including serving as Vice President of the IEEE Computer Society and President of the IEEE Test Technology Technical Council.
His honors include the IEEE Industrial Pioneer Award for contributions to BIST, the IEEE Hans Karlsson Award, the IEEE Distinguished Service and Meritorious Awards (2014), the IEEE TTTC Lifetime Contribution Award (2022), and the National Medal of the Republic of Armenia. In 2025, he was awarded the First-Class Order “For Services to Motherland” for his exceptional contributions to the country’s high-tech sector as well “Saint Mesrob Mashdots” Insignia.
